D.I.- Cornerstone, Berkeley Ca. 9/29/17 LIVE Multicam with Soundboard Audio DI DxIx

Sometimes, everything just falls into place. The band plays well and the crowd goes crazy, which causes the band to increase their energy & play better, etc. You only see shows like this once a year or so. D.I. had a show like that at cornerstone last month. I have been going to D.I. shows since January of 1987, and this was the best non-Agnew show I have ever seen. Filmed with a Canon HFG30, a gopro on stage, and a Canon HFG10 on the balcony. Soundboard recorded with a Sony M10. The only flaw with the video was the vibration on the balcony- it blurs the balcony angle when there is a lot of low end. MUST WATCH.

D.I.- Cafe Colonial, Sacramento Ca. 9/28/17 Multicam

D.I.’s shows in northern california last September were so great. Even with a fill in guitar player, they were at the top of their game. They played an extended set with songs like “no moms”! This show holds special significance to me because it was Jay Pantoja’s last show that he promoted. He retired from doing shows after this one. He passed away a few months later.
Thanks to Zoran for the use of his angles & to Tromster for the edit.
Recorded with 1 Canon HFG30, 1 Canon HFG10, 1 Gopro hero4 silver, and zoran’s canon & gopro.

D.I. – Cooper’s Ale Works, Nevada City Ca. 11/12/16 Multicam with Rode Audio

国产免费毛片在线观看Man, this was a fun night. D.I. cancelled a show this weekend at The Colony and I noticed they played San Jose the night before, so I thought I’d look them up to see if they were playing anywhere… and they were playing only an hour away! Cooper’s is a great place to see a show. It is tiny, but I was still able to cram 4 cameras in there. I was constantly getting bumped with the monopod by the bar, but it didn’t really matter. Still awesome. Also, I turn around while filming and I see a familiar face- Brandon from Bliss! I had not seen him for over 25 years, but I recognized him and he remembered me! How awesomely random. Great show and a really nice edit job by Agelos. Thank you.

So much to say about this show. First of all, I saw a FB post that D.I. was going on at pm, and I was still at home at 7pm. So I scrambled and threw my stuff into my backpack and flew out the door. I get to the club at .. and the band 2 bands before D.I. had not started yet. D’oh! So, as a result, I had no USB drive for the soundboard and I forgot my mini-to-mini cable for my good mics. The sound is still good, but not perfect. Also, 2 of the 3 cameras decide to freak out because I put them on “auto” setting and the low red lights made them constantly adjust. Next time I’ll know better. But the show. BEST SHOW I have ever seen D.I. do, and I have been going to D.I. shows since 1987. It was an “early days” set- all songs from the 1st 2 LPs. The crowd was into it and the band is in top form.. so despite all of my whining about the video, it turned out really great. Thanks to Agelos for his careful editing of this one- you can tell he enjoyed the show as well! Thanks also to Bobby Rio and Ed Tatar for the OK to film.

D.I.- Showcase Theater, Corona Ca. 6/11/95 Part 1 Punk Casey Royer

This video kinda bummed me out. This show was packed and they were amazing… but since my Sony TR81 camcorder tends to have lousy audio, I decided to plug in my coresound mics in to the camera… BAD IDEA. The camera was not made for the mics so it was even more distorted. You can still make out the songs, so here you go.

DI- El Dorado Saloon, Sacramento Ca. 9/2/87 xfer from master/1st gen Audio Tape D.I. Punk Live

This is an odd one in 2 ways. Even though D.I. opened for C.O.C., this is tacked onto the end of the tape AFTER COC… which means that “Anonymous” might have copied his master to the COC tape, making this a 1st gen. hmmm…
Also, D.I. is in the rarest of forms here. When they played El Dorado Saloon back in January of 1987, the crowd LOVED them and they played an amazing set. Here we are 8 months later and they get into shouting matches with the crowd. Odd. Casey is usually funny and affable as a frontman… must have been an off night.
